Keeping in line with the sin theme. I thought I would give you some good sin lovin music !
So when you are staring at yourself in that crappy bathroom mirror, thinking about how awesome you are, sing a little something like this. I know I will be
He pushed me ’round
now I’m drawin’ the line
He lived his life
now I’m gonna go live mine
I’m sick of wastin’ my time
Well now I’ve been good for way too long
Found my red dress and I’m gonna throw it on
‘Bout to get too far gone
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Need a little BIT more of my TWELVE ounce nutrition
One more helpin’ of what I’ve been havin’
I’m takin’ my turn on the sin wagon
On a mission to make something happen
Feel like Delilah lookin’ for Samson
Do a little mattress dancin’
That’s right I said mattress dancin’
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Need a little bit more
of what I’ve been missin’
I don’t know where I’ll be crashin’
But I’m arrivin’ on a sin wagon
When it’s my turn to march up to glory
I’m gonna have one hell of a story
That’s if he forgives me
Oh lord please forgive me
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Need a little bit more of that sweet salvation
They may take me
with my feet draggin’
I’ll fly away on a sin wagon
I’ll fly away on a sin wagon
~Dixie Chicks
Love it!! 🙂
Thanks!
Love, love, love this song. Thanks for reminding me that I do!
It was on my mothers day cd. I am a big fan of I’m not ready to make nice too.
Have you seen “Shut Up and Sing”? It’s an interesting movie if you aren’t too caught up in the political side of it. Shows how sick fans can get.
I have seen it. It was a wonderful documentary. It breaks my heart that so many people are so easily filled with hate and how acceptable that is.
Nice! I love the Dixie Chicks.
Me too. Wish they would start playing again.
Hahahaha, one of my FAVORITE songs… “I’m takin’ my turn on the sin wagon” for sure!!! And LOVING it!
You have good taste.
That song and “Earl has to die…”, both strangely enough could be theme songs for my divorce… well, except that “Earl” isn’t dead and isn’t going to die anytime soon…
I know exactly how that feels. Hang in there.
Reblogged this on Life as I know it… and commented:
I’m takin’ my turn on the sin wagon… and LOVING it…
Thanks for the re blog!
Does the Sin Wagon do tours? Just looking for a fun getaway…hehehehe. Love the song, never heard it before.
I think that could be arranged. Where shall we go?
Scoot over, girlie – I’m crawling up onto the wagon with you! 🙂
Hell yeah! We are taking the sin wagon on a tour, lets go!
Thanks for helping with the title of my latest post. I was like “CHICKS! That’s it!” LOL
I wore that album out back in college days with no kids (back when I actually had time to leisurely listen to music). Time to replace Alice in Chains in the minivan CD player, I guess…my boys may not be too happy about it, but the girls will be!
When I first read you comment I thought it said I wrote that album. And I was like what???? Oh well. Maybe you could write their next album:)
