It is a rainy saturday afternoon. Playing blocks with a 2 year old. Building castles with doors ( the doors are apparently very important) and knocking them over. Then putting pretzels on our heads and going look I’m a princess.
What this situation really needs, I thought to myself, is Christmas music. It is after all July. (Jesus was really born in July or so they say)
I myself am a fan of the christmas. Ok that is an understatement. I have been pinning christmas DIY crafts for months.
Yet I do not live in a cold state. This means no snow at christmas. No white christmas. No Ice skating ( not the fake ice skating in shorts they do here) I want a turkey for christmas, not alligator.
I put my christmas tree that has rotating LED lights up in my classroom last year on November 1st. I got in trouble with our priest. ( I work at a religious school) Ok, not really in trouble, but he was disappointed. And you know what I simply do not see the problem. One cannot be too festive.
I think that I should be able to listen to my christmas music year round damn it. This is America. So if you see me out in my Christmas sweater this week in the 100 degree weather, some of you may shake your head in shame, but others will cheer!
Christmas everyday !!!
p.s. now my daughter is running around the house going happy christmas everyone! Success!
Christmas beats the pants off Independence Day, easily. Except for the barbecue. But who says you can’t have barbecue for Christmas?
I do enjoy barbecue, but I also love my christmas dinner. Maybe we should have both at the same time!
I truly love Christmas too. I spend the last half of each year trying to find the perfect gifts of everyone. Best holiday ever.
What a wonderful way to spend time !
Never Contrary,
I see you have 5 posts pertaining to South Park, and 8 posts pertaining to Christmas. I can do the math, you know?
Le Clown
And what does the math say ?
NC,
I know the Jesus you believe in. And he likes to sing happy birthday to himself, too.
Le Clown
You have met him? Wow, I knew you were famous, but that is quite impressive. Does he really look like all the pictures say he does?
NC,
He has long brown hair, a receding hairline, and he sounds like Matt Stone.

We actually had a White Christmas in Atlanta two years ago. Pretty amazing!
You will be happy to know that the Ice Cream Man that comes around our neighborhood plays Christmas music…oh, yes he does.
That is awesome and creepy all at the same time.
Lover of Christmas and had Thanksgiving for the 4th of July this year; smoked turkey and the fixins:)
Delicious! And a fantastic idea.
y’all should bake some Christmas cookies!
Fantastic idea.
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. I’ve started to do some Christmas craft already as well. I’ve made 5 winter hats this week and I’m compiling my stuff to crochet some holly leaves and berries later next week. And yes, it’s still only July!
Quite impressive.
It’s all this rainy weather! It feels like Autumn so why not capitalise on it and get cracking lol!
My best friend starts playing Christmas music every year in July! Seems normal to me. 🙂
It is totally normal. 🙂
You should watch Elmo Saves Christmas with her. It’s wonderful.
Will do. Can I buy it on dvd?
Yes. Do you have Half Price Bookstores there?
no, what is this magical place?
Oh, it must be a Texas thing, then. That’s too bad. I won’t go on about it too much, as that would be rubbing it in. But they’re a secondhand and new books store, where the new books are all half price, and the secondhand books are from $1 and up. Movies and tv series are also $1 and up, although most are $3 and up. But that’s still pretty darn good. Okay, so I’m going on about it after all. You know what, find out how much Elmo Saves Christmas costs over there, and if the difference is worth it, I’ll buy it here and send it to you.
Found it on amazon for 4.50. Thats a pretty good deal. And yes do not go on about this magical book store. I may cry.
