So we could eat that?

Wife: ” You are going to let her go out with 2 different flip flops on?”

Me: “We are going to a snowball stand in south Louisiana, so yes.”

Wife: “That’s true.”

Me: “They sell pickled pig ears in a jar of pink liquid, and you are concerned about matching shoes.”

  1. We wear different colored flip-flops all the time. We just call it crazy shoe day. One day, we were in the grocery and someone, noticing my 4-yr-old daughter only had one flip-flop on, asked her, “Ah, honey, did you lose a flip flop?”

She answered, “No. I found one!”

  2. OH MY GOD! I thought “pickled pig ears” was some weird turn of phrase. i didn’t for one minute think that people actually pickled… wait…horrible thought… you dont suppose that when my German grandmother used to talk about killing a pig and making “blood pudding”, she was actually talking about eating…OH MY GOD! excuse me…. i think i have to go be a little bit sick…

  3. We used to eat pickled pig’s feet as kids- before we really thought about it. And yes I’m a Southerner. Some of my favorite road side stands in Louisiana sell boiled peanuts and fried pig tails. Boiled peanuts are
    more addictive than crack

  4. Oh for the love of all holy that puts the pickled eggs to shame.. (I think I just threw up a little) πŸ™‚

High-five though on the mismatched flip-flops!!!
