Ani Difranco is my favorite artist. To put it in her music has the kind of beauty that moves. She is able to express the deep emotions that I have yet to learn how to put into words. It is as though she knows how to reach deep within the soul and find meaning in an often meaningless world.

I feel the same way about Billy Corgan. When did you become a fan of Ani DiFranco? I’ve been a fan of the Smashing Pumpkins since I was 13 and sometimes it seems like the music that we listen to when we’re adolescents sticks with us for a long time.
I became a fan my freshman year of college. I remember the exact moment I first heard her. Ahhhh. I am not sure why, but the FP gods like me this year!!
Yea I saw her live in Melbourne a while ago. She was alright. She was a little bit shitty about those of her fans who prefer her old (angry) persona over her current (happy/fulfilled life) one.. XD
She isn’t the biggest “lets hug the fans” kind of gal, but I love her none the less.
She lives down the street from my school!
